Translation

​Elisabeth Jaquette's translations from the Arabic have been nominated for the Booker International Prize, National Book Award, Warwick Prize for Women in Translation, TA First Translation Prize, Best Translated Book Award, and Banipal Prize for Arabic Translation​. Her work has been supported by the Jan Michalski Foundation, PEN/Heim, and several English PEN Translates Awards.

In addition to Elisabeth's work as a literary translator, she has also contributed translations to The New York Times, The Washington Post, the Guardian, ​​Amnesty International, Index on Censorship, PEN World Voices Festival, Institute for Palestine Studies, Arab Reform Initiative, Palestine Festival of Literature, VICE News, and Industry Arabic, among other organizations.
